Inspections
Confidence starts with knowing what you’re buying
A property can look perfect during a viewing. Fresh paint, new flooring and a beautifully presented home create a great first impression, but what you can’t see can be the most important part.
A professional building inspection looks beyond presentation to a property’s actual condition. With more than 20 years of hands-on experience in commercial and residential construction, we know how buildings are built, how they age and where problems commonly occur.
Protect one of your biggest investments
Whether you are buying your first home, an investment property or a significant residential asset, an inspection gives you valuable information before you commit.
Identifying an issue before settlement can save you unexpected repair costs, help you negotiate with greater confidence or, in some cases, lead you to reconsider a purchase altogether.
An inspection isn’t about finding fault with every property. No building is perfect. It’s about understanding what you’re buying and telling normal wear from more significant concerns.
Experience you can rely on
Buildings don’t always show what’s wrong through obvious defects. Sometimes a combination of small signs, such as movement, moisture, deterioration, unusual cracking, poor workmanship or changes in materials, points to something worth investigating.
Our inspections are not generic, tick-box or app-generated reports. Every report is based on the actual observations made at your property.
What we look for
Detailed assessment
An overview of the property’s visible and accessible condition, with its age, construction and overall condition taken into account.
Photographic evidence
Important findings are supported with clear, high-quality photographs so you can see what we’re referring to.
Structural and building observations
We assess accessible components for visible movement, deterioration, damage, defects and poor workmanship.
Moisture testing
Where appropriate, we take moisture readings to help identify leaks, water ingress or other concerns, and tell you what to do next.
Go beyond what the eye can see
Our Comprehensive Inspection includes professional thermal imaging, adding a layer of information a visual inspection alone can’t. It can help identify:
- Areas of heat loss
- Missing or inadequate insulation
- Cold spots
- Potential moisture-related concerns
- Areas that may indicate water leaks
- Unusual temperature variations in accessible areas
Thermal imaging is used alongside our visual inspection and professional judgement. More information. More insight. Greater confidence.
It’s not just about finding problems
Practical maintenance and repair advice
We identify maintenance requirements, recommend repairs or further assessment, and highlight areas to monitor over time.
Safety and defect identification
Visible safety hazards, building defects and workmanship concerns are identified so you understand the risks before you decide.
Further investigation
Where something needs a specialist, such as an engineer, plumber or electrician, we explain what we’ve observed and recommend the next step.
A report you can actually understand
Our reports are written in plain English, with clear explanations and supporting photographs. We don’t hide important information behind technical jargon or rely on a generic app-generated checklist.

Most comprehensive
Standard House Inspection
A thorough assessment of the property's condition, delivered as a detailed written report. It identifies significant defects, maintenance requirements and building concerns, and flags any areas that warrant further investigation by a specialist. A thermal imaging camera is used as standard on every inspection to help detect moisture, insulation gaps and heat loss.
Healthy Homes Inspection
An inspection focused on key Healthy Homes requirements, identifying areas that may require attention.
Verbal Inspection
A practical verbal assessment from an experienced professional, without a comprehensive written report.
Small House Inspection
For properties up to 100m². A detailed assessment of the visible and accessible building components.
Maintenance Inspection
Identifies work that needs attention in your home or rental, with a budget estimate and recommended time frames for each issue.
Make your decision with confidence
A building inspection is a relatively small investment compared with the cost of buying and maintaining a property. Don’t just look at the property. Understand it.
